About us
Founded in 2015, we are a registered charity based in Lamontville, Durban in the KwaZulu Natal province of South Africa. The aim of the Bessie Makatini Foundation is to be a pillar of support, understanding, and compassion for all those affected by dementia, particularly in disadvantaged communities. We aim not just to raise awareness, but to also provide screening and support services to improve the quality of life of dementia patients and their families.
